DRAFT ORDINANCE REVISIONS

Section 18: Board of Appeals - removes language related to mislocated building appeals.

Section 23: Road Standards - clarifies applicability, corrects a reference typo, incorporates recommendations from engineer regarding design and construction.

Section 21: Subdivision Controls- consists of a re-write and replacement of the current subdivision controls. Takes into account comments from June 2016 Town Meeting. Aims to establish a clear application and approval process and ensure responsible subdivision development.

Note: Copies of the recordings of the Planning Board, Appeals Board, and Selectmen's meetings (if recorded) are available for rent at the library or available for purchase from the Town Office.  The cost of the recordings is $25, or $30 if mailed.  Requests for the recordings must be made in writing.

Regular Planning Board meetings are typically scheduled for the 4th Tuesday of the month, although this can vary depending on the workload of the Planning Board and the urgency of projects that are being reviewed. The meetings start at 6:30 and are held at the Town Office unless otherwise noted.

Land Use Authorization Applications and associated material must be received by the Planning Board at least 14 days prior to the regularly scheduled meeting in order to be on the agenda. Subdivision Applications and associated materials must be received by the Planning Board at least 14 days prior to the regularly scheduled meeting.

The Board of Appeals meets on an as needed basis when applications are received. The meetings are held at the Town Office unless otherwise noted.

The Board of Appeals is responsible for hearing and deciding on administrative appeals of the Code Enforcement Officer and the Planning Board. The Board of appeals is also responsible for authorizing variances.

Applications for appeals must be received by the Board within 30 days after the decision is made by the CEO or Planning Board .
